There are six steps you'll need to complete in order to properly set up your new company account.  The New Account Setup wizard will guide you through this process. If you are taking advantage of our 15 day free trial, please check the "15 Day Free Trial" box at the bottom of this page.  Then click "Next >>"

Here's a description of the account creation process:

*Please Note - To ensure that your new account is configured properly, it is important that you fully complete all six steps without leaving this site or closing this window.

Step 1 - Complete the New Account Setup form.

Clicking either button below takes you to the New Account Setup page.  The information on this page is necessary to open your new Account with IssueTech.com.  This information  includes your organization's name, address, security and contact information.  On this page, you'll specify a person to act as your company's administrator.  The company administrator is the only person who can complete the rest of this setup process.

Step 2 - Select which fields you wish to use.

The next page in the setup process is the Field Selection page.  Use this page to select which specific fields you wish to use for your company's issue records.  The fields you choose will be available for data entry, updating and reporting purposes.  Some of the fields on this page will be presented to your users as "Drop-down Listboxes".  Drop-down listboxes display a restricted set of values to use.  You'll use the page in step 3 to select these values.

Step 3 - Create values for list fields that you selected in step 2.

In step 2, you selected the fields which each issue record will contain.  If some of those fields should have customized restricted values, you will use this page to specify those values. For example, if one of the fields you selected in step 2 is 'Location', in this step you may want to specify which of your company's locations should be included in the Location drop-down listbox. Your users will then be able to choose only those locations for entry or update of an issue.

Step 4 - Specify milestone date descriptions.

IssueTech.com will allow you to specify and customize milestone dates for your issues.  On this page, you'll specify a description for up to 10 milestone dates that will be available for each issue.  Examples of these dates are "Development Completed", "Testing Completed", or "Release Deployed".

Step 5 - Create User Groups.

At this point you've configured which fields and list values each issue will contain.  Now it's time to create User Groups (such as project teams, departments, etc.) for each user within your company (or in client/customer groups outside your company) to whom an issue may be assigned to or who may create a new issue.  The UserID specified on the New Account Setup page in step 1 is assigned to the Adminstrator's group and may not be assigned to any other group.  You can create an additional user account if the person acting as your organization's Administrator needs to be assigned to another user group. If you wish more than one individual to have Administrator capabilities, that can be set up only by another user who already has Administrator level security clearance.

Step 6 - Add New Users.

This page will be used to create accounts for the users of your organization.  The designated company Administrator(s) is/are the only users who may create or modify other user's records, or specify field and field values.  Non-Administrator level users can only update the values in their own record.

This page will require you to identify an internet e-mail address for each of your users.  When the account has been created, IssueTech.com will notify each new user that his or her new account has been created and will provide basic instructions as to how to access IssueTech.com.  As your organization's Administrator, you must ensure that your users understand how you want them to use this site.  Should any of your users need support, we suggest they contact you first before contacting IssueTech.com.
